Ricarda shares with us her experience...
What defines a good Youth exchange? This question is not
answerable with one specific point. So many parts are important for that. Since
it was my first one, I don't have any comparisons yet. Nevertheless, this marks
for me an amazing combination. It took place in a village surrounded by
mountains and partly even completely in the mountains. It's not just a good
place regarding the ecological part of the topic, it let us grow together even
stronger. Different kind of activities in over and over again mixed combinations
helped for the team building as well. Apart from the camping we did several
smaller trips, which let us get to know active youngsters and Greece. The point
of a Youth exchange is not only to work in a non-formal way towards a specific
topic, but also to get to know other cultures, get rid of sterotypes and to
broaden one's whole horizon. To put it in a nutshell, the time showed me how a
small step of everyone can change a lot and made me curious about getting a
deeper insight into the culture outside an organized surrounding.
