PAOLAB: Partner Organization - Italy

PAOLAB is an association (social promotion association – no profit), that was born officially in the
2006, but actually there were already some people involved in a non formal group that was
organizing some activities some years before 2006. On the beginning most of the activities were
concerts, cine forum and workshop about politics and social problems. From the 2011 PAOLAB has
increased lot is work. In the last years the association was starting to become an association with
many students as activists; thanks of that PAOLAB was going to be an organization involved in the
European project management (and not only). Thanks to the wish and work of the youth activists the
association started to become always more popular.
Activities of the organization for the youth coming from rural areas
-carrying out study and research activities to enhance, protect, promote handicrafts and agro-food
products especially in the youth sector
-carrying out training environmental activities towards youth to learn how to protect and respect the
environment and their rural heritage
-carrying out commercial, zootechnical, artisanal, agricultural, fishing, cultural, social, artistic,
musical and tourist activities; all this to better stimulate economic development, and especially to
develop tourism products and services suitable to make the local and non-local tourist offer
attractive. In these info-points the informative guides and the publication of informative material can
be edited by Paolab.
Activities that promote volunteerism and solidarity among youth
-establishment of local "Time Bank" and "Solidarity Purchasing Groups". We organized workshops
and training sessions on presenting and concept of time bank to local youth along with the solidarity
purchasing groups
-Erasmus+ info point: we have established an info point where young locals are visiting to know more
about volunteer and mobility opportunities in the framework of Erasmus+
-establishment of a local volunteer network and preparation of youth exchanges with the direct
involvement of these young people. We also support them regarding their preparation, before, during
and after a youth mobility
From the 2011 the organization is part of a big net of associations in which PAOLAB is cooperating
in organizing and being partners in youth exchanges based on the themes of active citizenship, local
youth participation, environmental protection as well as events, festivals, book presentations,
workshop and project management.
